While a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and professional membership with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association are my official qualifications, I believe my background and life experience are also valuable.

With a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba, my career began as an elementary school teacher. From there, as an employment counsellor, I helped young people discover their unique strengths and values and overcome obstacles to their goals. As well as living and working overseas (in England and Bolivia), I have been a foster parent, ministry staff person at my church, and I've raised three children.

When I'm not being a therapist, I enjoy simple things like hiking in nature with my husband and our dog Winnie, reading a good book, or savouring a cup of coffee.
